Work Experience Scheme

The Trust actively promotes careers in healthcare to all educational establishments who are within a 30 mile catchment area of the hospital site. The scheme is open to both school age children and adults.

Applicants should be a minimum of fifteen years of age and apply in conjunction with their school or college. All applicants must complete an application pack and are interviewed to assess suitability and to determine placement options.

Placement areas include: some ward areas, admin departments and pathology stores. Placements vary, and can be negotiated within most areas of the hospital. If a student has a particular career in mind, the Trust will endeavour to provide a relevant placement.
